The waterfowl season in Missouri spans from November 28 to January, thus it is recommended that you wear the following for duck/waterfowl hunting:
- dark-based camouflage
- waterproof boots
- apparel according to the weather
- dry socks
- face cover (optional)
Do I Need to Wear Waders?
No, you do not need to wear waders for our duck hunts; however, it is recommended to wear at least knee high waders to keep you dry, warm, and safe from elements. Waders are waterproof apparel. The water for our duck hunts is typically 6-10 inches deep.
Do I Need To Have a Permit to Duck Hunt?
Yes, you will need a permit to duck hunt with Rogers Goosedown Outfitters. To pursue, take, possess, and transport ducks, coots, and geese in Missouri, except during the Conservation Order, you must abide by the Migratory Bird/Waterfowl Permit and Stamp Requirements.
What Do I Need to Bring With Me?
All you need for the duck hunts is your guns, your ammo, duck hunting permits, and non-alcoholic beverages and snacks. Rogers Goosedown Outfitters will provide everything else for your hunt, including still and motion duck decoys, the hunting blind, and a guide. You can expect at least 250 Avery pro grade floaters as well as multiple dozen full body ducks and a dry floor so you won’t be standing in 6 inches of water.
